Long long time ago I saw a play in Bangalore.Title was,Cotton 56, Polyester 84.It was presented by a theater group of Bombay.Not to mention,that cast had many familiar faces from Bollywood.Apart from familiarity,the acting was top class and impact of its dialogues lasts still at the back of conscious. Out of many impacting dialogues, at present i am recollecting is where a black fat actor sitting on the crossroad below the shade of a tree.Such spot can easily be located in most of the Indian Towns and serves variety of purpose.Its a second home for all unemployed and Retired men.Its a 'single source of truth' for every rumor/information in that town.Its serves as a Google map for the travelers passing by.Its rural GPS for anyone searching for anyone.Its a conference hall for most important discussions and where public opinion is needed.And my dialogue can be catagorised in the last one. Man of house is a union leader and mill got closed due to shift in market trend.He is unemployed and gets into fight with wife or son , almost everyday.Today he got to know that his son has got acqinted with the local don and the money which he appreciated as sons income is from Grey of the society.In a disheartened state he catches hold of his close friend and walks down to the shade of the tree.
He says," Kya badal gaya AAJ aur KAL mein.Yeh 'chalta hai' piddi kaisey ban gayi hai.Kyun kisi ko kisi cheez se CHIDH nahi hai.Kyun kisi ko kisi cheez se behadd pyaar nahi hai".[In English: What has transformed in the present time from yesterdays time. From where has the evolution of such generation taken place,which is governed by ,"never mind"/ "it OK"/ "who cares".Why don't they DETEST something?Why don't they ADORE something?] These words come to my mind again and again when I see compromise till an extent where it transforms into cowardice.When a it acquires character of weakness.These words holds me I pledge "NeVeR eVeR" to certain thing and become weak,alone to achieve it.I say to myself, I DARE TO SAY NEVER.I will adhere to it till I know I am right!.I have that metal to stick to something.I have a DREAM ,I have a VISION , I have ZEAL and none of these words mean if I get a taste of "Chalta Hai". For wrongs in life NEVER SAY NEVER might work and may be benificial also.However when its again to come out of that ,you nshould dare to say never and fight till the end.I still swing between these two extreames and find my self doing one or the othere and when I become too caual with my approach,my sub counscious wispers in my ears ,"Kyun kisi ko kisi cheez se CHIDH nahi hai.Kyun kisi ko kisi cheez se behadd pyaar nahi hai" :) Chao!
